Website Content 101
June 25, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
At its core, the Internet was designed to be user-friendly, and simple – which means that HTML, CSS, and other web technologies you may have heard of are actually quite easy to learn. In addition, there are free, open-source software packages that can make creating a website easier, fantastic free online resources for simple copy-and-paste functionality, and incredibly inexpensive services for setting up a professional presence.
In this session, we’ll discuss the big picture – what it takes to make a web page, and make it accessible to the world. We’ll define and demonstrate the simplicity of HTML and CSS. We’ll find services and software that makes our job easier. And perhaps most importantly, we’ll load you up with outstanding online resources to help you create exactly what you need. Topics include:
- Understanding Web Site Creation and Publishing
- HTML Fundamentals
- Free Software for HTML Creation
- Cascading Style Sheets for Color and Design
- Copy-and-Paste Resources
- Automated Systems to Publish New Content
