Sometimes You're the Windshield - Sometimes You're the Bug: How to take control of your own life.

Sometimes life gets the better of us, and we ask "Whose life is it, anyway"? When you stop living for yourself, and live only for everyone else, something is missing! In this humorous keynote, Rhonda shares that not only do we all experience this feeling - it's OK to be frustrated!

Learn how to stay away from contagious negativity, look at life through a positive focus and stop blaming (whether it is the economy, government, organization or just bad luck!) For those people who do this naturally, they will learn additional skills to keep on top!

Take control of your own life is the message - and through realistic, easy and fun approaches to control, Rhonda leaves everyone laughing about life, instead of crying - but most importantly, the knowledge on how to get back the life we want to have!

“Thank you for your thought provoking presentation to our Breakaway Weekend for the female members of ETFO Upper Canada Local. Your topic had a particularly catchy title with many people still referring to being either "the windshield" or "the bug". Your examples were relevant to most teachers making it easy to apply your tips and strategies for improving our own life situations. Thank you for affirming the power within each of us to effect change and manage crises in our own lives. Your talk was a wonderful addition to the luncheon, which culminated our women's break for wellness and fun.”

Carol Shaw, for the Status of Women Committee, Vice President, Upper Canada Local

"On behalf of the Executive and the Program Committee of the Women’s Business Network (The WBN), I want to extend my warm thanks to you for speaking at our event. Your topic “Sometimes You’re the Windshield, Sometimes You’re the Bug” was very thought provoking, interesting and motivating. I truly enjoyed listening to your presentation, as did so many of the event attendees who provided the same positive comments in their feedback. Such as “Rhonda was awesome, definitely learned some new ways of thinking.” “Very interesting topic and speaker.” Again, thank you for taking the time and effort to speak to our members and guests. "

Lyne Hallett, Women’s Business Network, Program Committee Chair

“I just wanted to say thank you for a dynamic presentation to our nurses during Nurses Week. The topic “Sometimes You’re the Bug” was right on in addressing issues that we are dealing with in our community. Your talk was entertaining, but the key message got through. In the days following your presentation, a common refrain around our workplace was “are you being the windshield or the bug?” Thanks again for a great presentation.”

Ruth Pollock, Professional Practice Leader Nursing
