Trust Your Intuition

Last night I sat down to watch my favourite TV show "Trading Spaces". It is a show on The Learning Channel (TLC) where neighbours switch houses and decorate a room in each other's house. They come with a professional designer, a whole work crew (which they don't show), 48 hours for the transformation and $1000. The episode last night was priceless. Are You Ignoring Your Own Thirst?

As business professionals, we always need to be using our skills to ensure we are making the right decisions. Bad decisions affect our ability to keep our job or to even stay in business. They can significantly affect our careers.

Reflections

Well, it's already the end of the first year in our new millenium - and it's time for reflection. Go back to your list of "resolutions", goals or plans for the year 2000. Did you accomplish them? Probably not, right?

Can or Can't?

Have you ever analyzed the words you use and what they really mean? When teaching communication skills, I like to have a little bit of fun doing exactly that. I have a couple of pet peeves - and the word "can't" falls into that category.

What "can't" you do? You can do pretty much almost anything you want to do. Does can't mean "not able to" or "not willing to"?
